OHS Lead Auditor Training

ISO 45001 & 19011 Standards

5-day (35-hour) instructor lead program

  3.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and complements any COR Safety Program

 (Note: Alberta taxes applicable -  total 5% GST)

 * Participants to bring their own copies of the two Standards due to copyrights - to permit registrants to use them after the course.

The Auditing Association of Canada (AAC) is pleased to announce this collaboration with The Manufactures’ Health and Safety Association in Alberta (MHSA) to offer the Occupational Health & Safety Lead Auditor (OHS(LA) Training. 

Training sessions open to the public!


On successful completion of this course participants will understand:

  • The purpose and benefit of risk based management systems
  • The requirements, definitions, concepts and guidance of the ISO 45001 standard
  • The critical role of auditors in the process
  • All aspects of managing audit programs, and conducting audits – i.e. the roles and responsibilities of the auditor in accordance with ISO 19011
  • The concepts, definitions and guidance of ISO 19011 and be able to apply them in daily practice
  • All phases of a risk-based audit
  • The importance of personal attributes, including how to communicate effectively
  • How to develop meaningful findings and clear value added reports
  • How to identify, assess, and techniques for controlling hazards, and
  • How to assess the conformity and adequacy of an organization’s management system.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Only cancellations received in advance of the Event registration deadline are entitled to a full refund. Cancellation fees will be assessed as follows:

1. Cancellation is more than 4 weeks in advance of the Event start dateNo Cancellation fee will be assessed.

2. Cancellation is between 2 weeks and less than 4 weeks in advance of the Event start date: A non-refundable service fee of $25.00 or 50% of the registration fee (whichever is greater). If the registration fee is unpaid, the registrant shall be responsible for the appropriate cancellation fee.

3. Cancellation less than 2 weeks of the Event start date: There will be no refunds for cancellations, and the registrant shall be responsible for the full amount of the registration fee.
